COPS, DRAG QUEENS AND LOCAL CELEBS DRESS IN DRAG FOR PETERBOROUGH'S SECOND
ANNUAL "DRAG RACE"
Come join us at 2 pm on Sunday, March 28 at the Trasheteria, 123 Simcoe St.
(corner of Simcoe and Water Street). Presented by Mysterious Entity Theatre, the Drag Race
features cross-dressing contestants competing in a quirky gender-stereotype
obstacle course to raise awareness of gender issues in our community,
while also kicking off Mysterious Entity Theatre's 2010 season.
Performers at the opening ceremonies include Beau Dixon (as diva
Beauoncé). Commentators and judges include local performers Ray
Henderson, Tim Etherington, and Kate Story.
Among the contestants are two police officers from the Peterborough Lakefield Community Police, local drag queens Divalicious and Miss Madge Enthat, Sam Sayer, anya gwynne, Owen McEwan, Catalina Motta, Bill Kimball and more, including some surprise guests! Also - RSO 's own Cindy Ray will be switching it up!
Admission $10 at the door; advance tickets $7, available from contestants
in the race and Mysterious Entity Board members.
Drag Race showcases organizations making great efforts to educate and
raise awareness of gender issues in our community, including: Peterborough
Aids Resource Network (PARN), Peterborough Pride, and the Rainbow Service Organization.
Last year was such a huge success. Come join us as we celebrate diversity
and cheer on these gender-defying contestants in drag!
Best wishes, and may the best person win!
