Always thinking ahead, Kate is excited about her next project. Originally it was to be called Songs for Kids with 2 Moms, but then she realized, “there’s gay and lesbian joint parenting, insemination, adoption, step parenting—all these different possibilities of families!
Kate is currently conducting interviews and has already finished 2 new songs for the children's album. She plans to take it into schools as an educational tool for promoting diversity, inclusion and acceptance and is scheduled to do 2 workshops in Kingston and 2 at PCVS with youth from Peterborough area schools’ Gay/Straight Alliances.
As Kate wryly observes, “I know what it’s like to be a bit different.”
