Cultivating Queer Futures

Cultivating Queer Futures is a needs assessment conducted during 2024 and 2025, stewarded by Rainbow Service Organization (RSO), guided by a board of volunteers, with research and work conducted by Shorline Collaboratives.

This assessment was undertaken to better understand the services gaps and opportunities, and the well-being and inclusion of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Nogojiwanong-Peterborough City and County.

The data from the needs assessment will support ALL services in the County to be more responsive to the changing needs, aspirations, and challenges of the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Nogojiwanong.

Supporting queer and trans people has never been more vital, as multiply marginalized communities deal with increased hate, alongside increasing social and economic needs that can have additional impacts on 2SLGBTQ+ people who need relevant and safe services.
